Employment and Vocational Training

Employment and vocational training is the main focus for many individuals who access services from the Swift County D.A.C. Individuals work with thier support team to help make their employment plan, whether it is in the community, at D.A.C. or a mix of the two.  At the D.A.C., we regularly check in and modify schedules with individuals.  We want to see how things are going, what's working well and what's not, and address the things that aren't working so that people can look forward to each day.

Enrichment Opportunities

The D.A.C. strives to help individuals create a nice balance to their day based upon their individual wants and needs.  Individuals can choose from a variety of recreational, leisure and educational opportunities to mix with their employment and vocational training or have an entire day of engaging enrichment programming. Many people choose to make exercise a part of their routine, enhance learning on a variety of topics that interest them and take the opportunity to explore their community whenever they can.

Transportation

Reliable transportation is important.  The D.A.C. operates a fleet of vehicles driven by the D.A.C. staff.  It also coordinates transportation with the local public transit system as much as possible.
